Insurance
Acupuncture Benefit
To keep the cost of treatment low, and so that our focus is always on excellent patient care, we do not bill insurance directly. If your insurance plan includes an acupuncture benefit, we can provide you with a coded invoice that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Coverage is restricted to medically necessary treatment, and herbal medicine is generally not covered. Speak with your benefits coordinator for the details of your policy’s coverage.
HSA & FSA Plans
If you are enrolled in a high-deductible health plan, you may use your health savings account to pay for treatment. By using your HSA checks or debit card, you may pay for acupuncture treatment with pre-tax dollars while working toward your deductible.
Our services are also considered qualified medical care for Flexible Spending Accounts. You are welcome to use FSA checks or credit cards for acupuncture and prescribed herbs.
Taxes
The IRS recognizes acupuncture as a qualified medical expense, which you may find beneficial when preparing your income tax return. Speak with your tax advisor for more information.
